THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN TOWANDA, PA. Our customer is a leading supplier of powders, semi-finished products and components made from tungsten, molybdenum and phosphor. We are seeking a Press & Coating Specialist.This position will be responsible for:- Setting up, operating and performing all phases of blending and high speed press operations, as well as perform all aspects of thermal spray coating on a variety of specialty substrates.- Setting up, operating and making adjustments to pressing equipment to produce components within designated specifications. Use shop floor gauges to inspect setup parts to ensure parts are within specifications. Use press interface software to adjust machine parameters.- Disassemble, repair, reassemble and maintain production equipment including inspection and shot blasting; remove and install tooling; remove and install compaction and calibration tooling. Work with inside and outside maintenance teams to diagnose and repair equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, adjust and maintain equipment.- Coordinate all tooling including: pack/unpack, ship/receive, and maintain tooling inventory using SAP or other inventory system. Maintain spare parts inventory; order spare parts as needed.- Set- up and perform all phases of plasma spraying including, PLC/robotics, spray guns, surface preparation, masking, spraying, inspection, trouble-shooting and recordkeeping.- Measure all incoming raw materials and prepare blends/operate blending equipment according to specifications. Submit blend samples to QC lab and review results.- Perform in-process inspection as required. Monitor usage and first pass yield and through- put. Provide recommendation and assist with improvement actions.- Maintain production, SPC, and other required records/logs. Notify designated personnel of any irregularities or unusual occurrences in process, materials, or equipment. Assist with the development of metrics and maintain data. Communicate results to designated personnel.- Perform each phase of the operation in full compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.  Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:- Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) - Machine Tool Technology, Electrical/Electronic or two year accredited trade school. Preferred Skills / Qualifications:- Prior education/experience with PLC controls and/or robotics is preferred.Additional Notes:- SPC training required.- Pass visual, hearing, and physical tests and successfully complete Powered Industrial Truck Training course per standard policy.- PLC training, understanding of plasma spray process.- Must be able to work overtime.
