Shift: Day
Candidate will conduct a variety of engineering tasks related to the conception, development, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems including Tier 3 support of various hardware and software technologies in an enterprise environment. Familiar with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes. Candidate must be able to do On-call rotation as needed and occasionally during major downtime/upgrades including weekends.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Designs, configures, implements and maintains Windows servers, server applications and Windows desktops and desktop applications in a Windows or a VMware environment.
Responsible for preparing requirements analysis, high-level and detailed designs, and implementation plans in accordance with the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Prepares written project plans, technical documentation and visual presentations.
Interfaces directly with government management to extract requirements, provide consultation and project status.
Develops Standards of Procedure documentation for operational support.
Prepares recommendations for system improvement for management and user consideration.
Acts independently under general direction.
Required Skills:
Intermediate to Expert Skills: Work related hands-on experience on the following areas; Workstation Engineering (Windows ), Active Directory design and maintenance, Group policy management SCCM/DNS/DHCP design and maintenance, Windows Server, Enterprise Backup solution design/implementation/maintenance, troubleshooting network issues, and possess strong interpersonal, communication, technical writing, and verbal communication/briefing skills. Ability to multitask.
Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or Math) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related (telecommunication analysis) experience.Additional QualificationsAbility to obtain a public trust
