Ruby / Rails Developer - Chicago
We are looking for a Ruby / Rails Developer that can be part of the company's motivated, talented, and friendly engineering staff
Since the company works in pairs, it is important that you are friendly and do not sneeze on other people.
The company believes in test driven development and hope you agree that it the best methodology.
The company has been around for over 10 years and have seen record growth over the last three years, However, the best years are still ahead and we need talented engineers who want to be a part of this growth.
Whether you have worked with Ruby for 2 years or 6 years -- we want to hear from you.
- Experience developing object oriented Ruby on Rails applications in a continuous test framework
- Someone who understands the value of Test Driven Development. . .that's what we do
- Strong technical understanding and experience using Rails, Ruby, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience developing object oriented applications applying object oriented concepts and design patterns such as MVC
- Experience with common Rails development tools like RVM and bundler
- Experience with continuous test tools
- Experience with software version control concepts and tools, preferably git
- Preferred experience with MySQL or similar relational database
- Degree in computer science or information technology preferred
