Infrastructure Lab Tech

The Lab Technician will have responsibility for the inventory of the lab computing equipment, physical upkeep and organization of the Test labs as well as shipping and receiving of engineering equipment into the labs. Responsibilities will include management of physical inventory, the check-in and check-out process of lab equipment from Engineering stock to a program, working with engineering to ensure tracking of the equipment is accurate, interfacing with the shipping department for engineering material shipments (incoming and outgoing), ensuring the labs are tidy and meet the standards, assisting engineers in the racking and cabling of equipment.

Skills Needed for Infrastructure Lab Technician

• Good understanding and can identify computing components such as servers, HBA’s, storage enclosures, drives, etc. Some hands on with these components is desirable.

• Good organization skills to assist with inventory management, good oral and written communication skills, as well as a desire to work with others to achieve a goal.

• Working knowledge of Visio, Excel, Word required.

• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux or other server OS’s is a plus as well as experience with KVM matrixes.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs REQUIRED.

• Good team skills and communication skills are a MUST.

• One to two years of college is preferred, but equivalent experience is acceptable.

This Lab Tech opportunity is contract with an initial term of 1 year for one of our clients in Boulder, CO. The rate will go up to $18.84/hr. Local candidates only. No sponsorship available.
