Senior Developer

 

Seeking Senior Developers to help design and implement an enterprise social media solution.  Will help design and implement a secure, high-scalability, high-availability, web-based solution that will revolutionize how businesses use social media.  Looking for both front-end and back-end web developers.

 

The right candidate for this job will:

• First and foremost be a really great developer - the person who everyone else is always asking for help/advice

• Have demonstrated history of delivering scalable, world-class solutions

• Highly technical knowledge in multiple areas including web platforms, web architectures, load-balancing, coding standards, databases, mobile apps, etc.

• Experienced in one or more server and web technologies (Java, Python, NodeJS, Ruby, etc.)

• Experienced in database design with relational or document databases

 

Responsibilities of the Senior Developer:

• Design and implementation of cloud server software

• Mentor junior developers

• Stay current with new technology

Requirements of the Senior Developer:

• At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience

• Understanding of scalability/availability in web applications

• Experience deploying to the cloud or data center (AWS is a plus)

• Knowledgeable in both front-end and back-end technologies

• Proven and demonstrable experience designing and implementing high profile, high volume, high availability systems

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is a plus

 

The Senior Developer position is a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients in Durham, NC. Target salary range is $80,000 - $110,000, but flexible to get the right person.  A local candidate is strongly preferred but client is willing to consider people who are able to relocate to Durham on their own. No sponsorship available.
