Job Description
The Salesforce.com Administrator is responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of SFDC. This includes:

Performing application software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages in accordance with any applicable vendor recommendations. -
Troubleshooting and resolving problems in response to alerts from monitoring tools or trouble reports from other ITS staff. -
Interfacing with vendor support service groups when appropriate to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. -
Reporting progress on problem resolution to management or other ITS staff as needed and in accordance with SOPs. -
Supporting the implementation into the production environment after appropriate testing and approval, and document the as-built configuration of business application solutions. Includes all solutions providing new or enhanced functionality and requires turnover to production support at go live in accordance with SOPs. -
Supporting or conducting quality assurance testing to validate the installed configuration and operation against detailed, technical specifications. -
Developing unit and integration test plans, automated tests and results, and refine as needed. -
Gathering and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders and research solutions. -
Translating high-level technical specifications into specific product/service details. -
Monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels. -
Developing and promoting standard operation procedures.
Job Requirements
Requirements of the Salesforce Administrator:
-
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience -
3+ years of experience administering Salesforce -
Applied knowledge of, or skills in, approaches and formal processes for systems administration or project management; requires advanced troubleshooting techniques and software design. -
Experience with MS SQL 2005/2008 databases -
Experience with IIS, and Windows Active Directory or LDAP directory services -
Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator preferred -
Solid understanding of Salesforce.com concepts and functionality, navigation and Sales Cloud. This includes navigation, user interface setup, user setup and management, security and data access, field customization, data management, report and dashboard creation and maintenance, automation, collaboration and Service Cloud management. -
Experience with the Salesforce.com toolkit (e.g. Visual force, Apex, S-controls, Triggers, Chatter, Apex Data Loader, Apex Explorer, etc.) -
Should have deep experience in data migration and integration (SSO and web services) -
Applied knowledge of the solution definition, design, layout and configuration of the Salesforce.com implementation and related applications The Salesforce Administrator position is a long-term contract opportunity with one of our clients in RTP, NC. This is for an application administrator, not server. Looking for someone who understands Web Services and can populate backup schedules. The rate is expected to go up to $50.00/hr. W2. A local candidate is strongly preferred, but client is willing to consider people able to relocate to the Raleigh area on their own. No sponsorship or 3rd party agreements available.
