Work Summary
The candidates filling the Business Systems Analyst Sr. role will under general direction formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs, a good understanding of applicable IT business systems including Genasys I and Genasys II. Modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Daily duties will include interviewing subject matter experts in R&D Statistical Analysis, performing analysis of business and user needs, gathering and documentation of business requirements, and translation into proper functional requirements and specifications and meeting minutes.
Responsibilities Will work with R&D Statistical Analysis to create Business Requirements. Works with System Architect to translate business requirements into functional requirements
The ideal candidates will be responsible for:
Function as primary contact with R&D Statistical Analysis for problem analysis and resolution
Perform business and functional analysis, working with R&D Statistical Analysis and technology contacts within IT.
Formulate/define system scope and objectives.
Gather requirements and document detailed systems specifications.
Manage tasks; working in conjunction with business owners, project managers, and development teams to implement project activities.
Review detailed system and technical specifications
Prepare release notes and ST entrance criteria documents
Manage Build Requests and Work Requests for release
Coordinate releases with ST and impacted areas
Assist in coordination of software acceptance testing, resulting in Business area Signoff.
Function as a contact for problem analysis and provide support for resolution of issues
Experience:
Five, or more years of experience and general knowledge in systems analysis, design, development and documenting/testing; preferably with client business applications is preferred.
Experience writing use cases and an ability to analyze and document business and system processes required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Good interpersonal skills are required to function in a team environment and to work with business owners, end-users, clients, vendors and other internal staff.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and application of Software Development lifecycle methods, approaches, and techniques are required. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required to consult with business owners, end-users, clients, vendors and other internal staff. In depth knowledge in documenting and testing of enterprise applications.
Experience with GUI applications using web services.
Experience with client statistical applications such as Genasys I and Genasys II that perform: equating, PIA, IA, DIF, and IRT analyses.
Experience on large scale/cross functional projects.
Functional knowledge of client scoring and reporting systems.
Functional knowledge of client computer-based testing.
Functional knowledge of client paper-based testing.
Functional knowledge of client internet-based testing.
Education
A Bachelors degree with coursework in the information processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
