Engineer Analyst

Job Description


Responsibilities: Our client is currently seeking an Engineer Analyst.

This role should include as its primary duty either:
  • The exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance

  • Design work (Design means a tailored design in order to meet a specific client request) or

  • Programming (Programming means writing original programs using computer code that is intended for use on a wide scale basis.)



Job Description:
  • Primary duty involves design work, specifically designing a tailored solution in order to meet a specific client request

  • Troubleshoots problems that involve trade-offs between cost containment and or timeliness of service

  • Articulates the business value and impact of technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues

  • Provides effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue

  • Delivers project and process documentation for small-to medium-scale projects

  • Is often consulted by peers and seen as the informal leader on tactical problems

  • Performs all technical program tasks with minimal supervision

  • Support of Barracuda Web Application Firewall

  • Migrating existing web based applications from one WAF platform to another

  • Includes submitting firewall rules (zero requirement for making changes to firewalls)

Job Requirements

Engineer Analyst Qualifications:
  • Intermediate understanding of LoB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design

  • Intermediate understanding of performance and monitoring

  • Knowledge of more than one specific infrastructure technology

  • Intermediate understanding of best practices and company policies

  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills

  • Technical certifications as required

  • This position should typically be used for a mid-level, more seasoned, fully proficient resource

  • Includes understanding HTTP/HTTPS, SSL certificate chains

  • Must have a strong technology background to understand change requests and to recommend alternate solutions

  • Must have strong project and coordination skills
