Summary/Day to Day Duties
The candidate will be asked to make enhancements to the existing Watercraft Information System (WIS). WIS is built on a Power Builder v12.0 platform with an Oracle 10G database. The candidate will work with subject matter experts and a Business Analysts to complete the desired enhancements. Client will provide the development environment and all of the tools necessary to complete the enhancements.
Power Builder Client Applications will be deployed to Windows 7 and Windows XP clients. Candidate must be experienced enough to complete project from end to end unassisted. The ideal candidate will have senior programming experience preferably in Power Builder.
The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. The Programmer works with the Functional Architect and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements.
Years of Relevant Experience:
-6 to 7 years
-3 years developing applications in Power Builder v11.0 or higher
-2 years developing PB Apps with Oracle 10g or higher
-2 years deploying PB Apps to XP clients
-1 year deploying PB Apps to Windows 7 clients
Preferred Education:
4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
