Systems Engineer 

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems.

  • Identify applicable product baseline
• Pre-proposal Readiness Review
  • Review Request For Proposal (RFP)
  • Develop system architecture
  • Provide inputs for technical and cost proposal
• Bid & Proposal
  • Review proposal
  • Identify product baseline
  • Define system architecture
  • Create system block diagrams
  • Perform further trade studies
  • Develop SSS
  • Develop & review SSDD
• Functional Analysis
  • Review SSS against contract requirements
  • Allocate SSS to hardware & software
  • Conduct SRR with customer
• Preliminary Design
  • Develop use cases
  • Develop and conduct peer reviews of Interface Control Document
  • Conduct Preliminary Design Review (PDR)
• Detailed Design
  • Develop and review hardware and software component designs
  • Work with test engineering on Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
  • Conduct Critical design Review (CDR)
• Implementation, Manufacture and Build
  • Work with hardware & software during development and build
  • Implement peer reviews
  • Unit test peer reviews
• Integration & Test
  • Oversee integration & testing
  • Allocate discrepancy reports
  • Test discrepancy fixes
• Factory Acceptance Test
  • Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Allocate discrepancy reports
  • Test discrepancy fixes
• Installation
  • Oversee installation & testing
• Customer Acceptance
  • Oversee customer Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Contract Closeout and CLS
  • Submit lessons learned
