Federal - Sr. Technical Architect

The Health & Public Service operating group serves health organizations, government agencies, institutions and nonprofit organizations worldwide providing a broad range of consulting, technology, system integration and business processing services. Service Delivery professionals are responsible for providing service delivery across the breadth of offerings such as accounting, information technology, application development and maintenance, helpdesk services, procurement, learning and training, and human resources. The work that is performed by our delivery professionals may serve one or more clients concurrently and they may be located directly at a client site or within our global delivery network. Job Description: The Technical Architect is primarily responsible for organizing and documenting the Technical Architecture associated with the transition of new Entities into the ITC infrastructure, as well as organize and document the ITC Engineered enhancements to the baseline architecture. Other Responsibilities: - Using and maintaining technical solutions/tools as necessary for delivering Data Center technical architecture documentation
- Create and continuously improve the standard procedures utilized by the team to deliver Data Center Architectures that clearly represent the ITC infrastructure
- Establish and sustain relationships with Functional teams to enable successful documentation of the Technical Architecture
- Ensure that excellent customer service is being provided in regard to the interaction and detailing of the Architecture changes as related to the Entity transitions
- Work closely with the Infrastructure and Shared Services Lead on Data Center architecture updates, identifying and delivering new Data Center capabilities
- Provide documentation and/or present on Data Center Architecture capabilities as necessary
- Document information system architecture for intelligence agencies' ISP operations
- Lead SEIT efforts to streamline architecture documentation updates
- Ensure consistency of quality across multiple projects
- Identify and evaluate architecture alternatives
- Work with other Engineers to select architecture alternatives forming an overall Architecture, that you then document
- Define Architectural releases and supporting documentation for phased implementation strategies
- Identify and resolve cross-capability, cross-release issues which impact the integrity of the Architecture
- Work with other Engineers to ensure the capabilities being developed and deployed align with a specific Architecture component and meet performance goals
- Identify and address application and data issues that affect the integrity of the application.
- Ensure that the application components being developed or modified align with the Infrastructure Architecture and meet performance goals.
- Ensure that testing and piloting results meet goals.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: - US Citizen and able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field and 7 years experience; or Master's degree and 5 years experience; or 11 years related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as Systems Administrator supporting Window Server OR Unix/Linux operating systems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems deployment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting production infrastructure following change management standard practices
Preferred Skills: - Experience in Intelligence Operations
- Best candidates will possess; Positive & Outgoing Attitude, Proactive Mind-set, Creative Thinking, Negotiation Skills, Organizational Skills
- Strong understanding of ITILv3 standards
- Enterprise class storage administration, management and usage desired (SAN, NAS)
- Strong understanding of Networking devices and protocols (firewall, loadbalancer, router, switch)
- Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and/or DASD technologies
- Strong understanding of Server Hardware (HP, Dell, and/or Sun)
- Workplan Creation & Project Management experience
- Fundamental understanding of relational database systems (MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase)
- Knowledge of Remedy, MS Project Server, UNIX/Linux, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), MS Office Products
