Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Duration: 6 Months Contract - Temp to perm
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85003
Description:
Accounts Payable Clerk
Temp to perm, 40 hours max per week, hours are 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
This position is responsible for performing the duties of an accounts payable clerk.
Responsibilities:
Accurately code invoices;
Follow up to make sure invoice has been processed and has a pay date;
Be able to apply credits to invoices and keep track of retainers;
Provide customer services on payment status, invoice details, PO approval status, vendor inquiries, etc.;
Prepare manual check requests;
Scan documents to Docuware.
Skills:
Ability to interact with all levels of staff and outside customers and vendors, utilizing tact and emotional intelligence;
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally;
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations;
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a professional manner;
Must be responsible, self-motivated, accurate and detail oriented;
Ability to calculate figures such as percentages;
Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in accounting or related field;
1-2 years recent experience in an accounts payable setting;
Must have stable work history.
