Senior Controls Engineer

We are working on a 3-6 month (or longer) senior level Controls Engineer position that could also develop into a full time hire.

1. Assist Project Manager in developing machine control concepts and estimates.
2. Assist Project Manager in writing technical section of proposals.
3. Assist Project Manager with presentation of project concepts.
4. Assist Sales with selling the company’s capabilities.
5. Develop project schedules and milestones.
6. Monitor project for scope changes and report them to Project Manager.
7. Monitor detail design of project.
8. Review and update technical objectives of project with Project Manager, salesperson and clients.
9. Provide electrical drawing package that complies with the section's standard operating procedures.
10. Perform electrical design calculations.
11. Specify electrical control hardware.
12. Utilize AutoCAD and electronic drafting skills, and develop productivity enhancement tools.
13. Electrically and logically interface electrical components.
14. Apply motion control hardware to system design.
15. Write PLC, motion control, operator interface software to meet project requirements.
16. Provide checking function of electrical print package and technical support to electrical designers.
17. Assist with electrical fabrication coordination support.
18. Assist with system development at the company’s and the client's facility.
19. Assist with system installation support.
20. Stay current concerning technological developments, design practices and manufacturing..
