Java Developer

CCCi has a long term contract opportunity for a Java Developer in Chelsea, NY. In this capacity, you will build RESTful API's for our client’s Mobile Applications across its brands. You will work with other API Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, Mobile/Device App vendors, and Back-end Engineers to help deliver enhanced user experiences through your expertise in API development. The Client is the leading developer of high-profile, lifestyle-oriented content for many media platforms including television, digital, mobile and publishing

Java Developer Responsibilities:
-Development of RESTful API's to connect Mobile/Device Apps to our back-end systems, such as CMS and Search Engine.
-Participation throughout the full Product Development cycle to assist with requirements feasibility, project planning, implementation, quality assurance, documentation, vendor support, performance optimization, and maintenance.
- APIs in Java, Javascript, JSON, REST, XML, etc.

Java Developer Required Qualifications:
-5+ years software development specifically in JAVA.
-3+ years direct experience developing RESTful API's for other developers.
- 3+ years direct experience developing applications that consume various API's including REST, SOAP, other Web Services, and SQL-based databases.
- Experienced in using the Java Jersey or CXF framework.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn and talk about emerging technologies.
- Experience with other APIs (e.g.: Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc.).
-Understand mission-critical and data-intensive problems.
-Know your way around standard performance optimizations like caching.
-You should be comfortable jumping in the deep end and learning new skills.
Java Developer
-BS or MS in Computer Science, or comparable experience
- Mastery of object oriented design and design patterns, and programming skills
- Proven track-record of building fast, reliable, large, multi-threaded, scalable, service-oriented web services

Required:
-3 years of Experience Building web sites and/or web applications
-Experience designing modular, object-oriented JavaScript
-Experience with AJAX application model
-Experience working with server side components and applications

Desired:
-Experience with Cold Fusion
