Why would someone want this job? 
This is a senior manager position for the largest contract under the largest employer in the Yuma area.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Must have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle management of military systems.
Must be familiar with basic FAR and DFAR provisions and terminology with respect to delivery of services.
Must have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition, T&E, and support of military programs and resources for Army systems (to include weapons systems).
Relative background and experience with Combat Automotive Systems Test management.
Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience managing programs or projects involving heavy combat vehicles in one or more of the following areas: operations, maintenance, modification, refurbishment, test and evaluation. Demonstrate at least 3 years of technical project management experience in a DoD T&E environment.
Possess an extensive Army military, Civil Service, or defense contractor background with recent experience leading teams of over 100 personnel.
Experience managing a department or branch level activity delivering test support for an ATEC test center, especially a MRFTB such as YPG, WSMR, APG, or EPG, is highly desirable.
Experience interfacing with senior managers within and outside the company. Proven ability to manage personnel for superior results.   

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing company personnel and resources at the department or branch level to deliver contract services to the customer.
Manages direct staff/resources to ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and other program requirements.
Interfaces with senior government and corporate managers to ensure high quality, timely and cost-conscious satisfaction of customer requirements.
