Job description:

Position 1 (Scoring Technical Lead)
Responsible for partnering with the business to drive key scoring related analytical initiatives.
Provides strategic technical solutions to implement complex program models.
Developing state-of-the-art technology scoring framework to implement statistical models with minimal IT involvement.
Ability to apply analytical problem solving skills, along with a high-level understanding of credit scoring fundamentals and complex concepts, and excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to demonstrate strong oral and written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Effectively communicating complex statistical models to senior management. Provide updates and communicate key initiatives to senior risk management teams

Skills / qualifications:

7+ years relevant Technical modeling experience within consumer finance or credit card industry, Must have solid statistical modeling background
Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, operations research or economics with particular emphasis on applied research or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
Proficiency in SAS toolset & Technologies such as SAS Grid, SAS eMiner, amongst others, Statistical Analysis, Predictive Modeling/ Scoring, and experience with Decision Engines (such as Blaze or TRIAD/Adaptive Control.)
Ability to write and interpret the results of data-based queries in large data environments using software and reporting tools, such as SQL, R , SAS, etc.
Need hands on experience with SAS Grid, SAS eMiner, Blaze, Java, C.
Ability to multi-task with high degree of organization within a dynamic fast paced environment.

Candidate will work on site at the Newark, DE location.
