Job Description
Classification:  Project Leader/Manager

Compensation:  $45.00 to $48.00 per hour

Northwest Houston Oilfield Services client looking for a Project Manager to plan, organize, direct and lead major projects. This is a contract-to-hire role paying $45-48/hr depending on experience.

Major responsibilities:
Comprehends contractual conditions and specifications and looks for commercial and technical cost savings.
Ensures resources are deployed.
Communicates with other managers to ensure accurate information. Identifies problem areas, evaluates and initiates corrective action, monitors and reschedules the project schedule with respect of time and required resources.
Negotiates variation orders.
Maintains a record of all communications related to the project. Develops and presents financial performance reports and project P&L statements.
Provides supervision and guidance of project coordinators and project managers.
Coordinates the activities of functional departments to support projects.
Monitors project performance against an agreed plan and budget, and initiates corrective action where appropriate to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Identifies and records changes to the project scope of supply and negotiates variation orders for customer driven changes.
Creates and maintains project schedule.
Maintains action items registers for the project.
Advises plants on invoicing for milestone payments at attainment and maintains the schedule for milestone payment invoicing.
Identifies all deliverables in the scope of supply plants can use to create sales orders.
Creates revenue forecast documents for the duration of the project.
Provides internal project reporting by using IOIs, monthly dashboards, and quarterly project reviews as needed.
Provides external project reporting.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred
5+ years experience in project management preferable within heavy engineering or the oilfield industry.
Working knowledge of production and inventory control systems
SAP knowledge is a plus
