Job Description
SUMMARY OVERVIEW
Design and produce automated and manual data reports to meet requirements of Corporate Management, Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Accounting at all Telmar sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Design and produce automated and manual reports to meet a variety of needs per users requirements which may require interacting with users for clear definition.
•Plan, develop and create reports on SQL Server databases using mainly SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
•Assist in the setup and implementation of SSRS and the data integration from other sources (SSIS).
•Responsible for data analysis and management reporting.
•Recommends improvements to current processes related to reporting capabilities.
•Utilize Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2005, Microsoft SQL 2005 Server, Microsoft SQL 2000 Server, Transact SQL, ODBC, MS Excel, MS Access, Visual Basic.NET, VBA, MS PowerPoint, Crystal Reports, and other Microsoft SQL Server tools in the design and presentation of reports.
•Other Duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•High School Graduate as a minimum. Recommend college work in Computer Science, formal software programming or database administrator training, or a college degree in Computer Science.
•MUST have a strong SQL background
•MUST have a strong background in writing Stored Procedures
•1 year experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services
•1 year experience designing and creating complex database reports using TSQL
•1 year experience in Visual Basic programming with database access
•Working understanding of database administration and object oriented programming concepts
•Able to calmly work with others in stressful situations
•Working knowledge with VB.Net and VBA
•Responsible for operating: Computers in all current Windows versions, MS Visual Studio (VB.Net as a minimum), IIS and other Microsoft technologies related to creating and distributing database reports. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
ADDITIONAL INFO
•This position requires prolonged sitting at computer.
•Position demands no special physical requirements for lifting, sitting, standing, etc.
•Minimal lifting (up to 20 lbs) may be required from time to time.
