Job Description
Our direct client is in need of an UNIX admin for a contract to hire opportunity. Candidate must be able to work in the US without sponsorship. Absolutely no 3rd party submittals, please.

ROLE:
Installation, maintenance, and tuning of a UNIX hardware and software systems and Windows system administration.
Architecture of server infrastructure in a multi-tier environment.
Must be willing to provide rotating on-call duties 24/7- This is a Mon-Fri position but flexibility and after hours support will be required.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Deep Unix Admin experience, at least 5 years preferably with a high availability / clustering slant
Self starter / energetic / mature
Either SAN admin experience OR VMware experience or both, at least 2 years of either
Installation, maintenance, and tuning of a UNIX hardware and software systems.
Experience with Symantec Ghost software or other imaging software.
Knowledge of DNS, sendmail, NFS, SSH, Apache, etc.
Ability to write shell scripts using Bourne, C, or Korn shells.
