Senior Perl Developer  

Position Overview

 

Global financial investment and commodities trading company is looking for an experienced Perl developer to support and enhance multiple functions and applications across the enterprise.  This position will be involved in the design and development of Perl based programming solutions to support systems  monitoring, webpage processes, business transaction processing, and other critical aspects of integrating and linking multiple, highly complex commodity trading and energy operations systems.  NOTE: only candidates local to the Houston, TX area will be considered.

 

Summary of Responsibilities

 

• Design and develop system administration, monitoring, and messaging applications

•  Design and develop web-based systems to support global IT application development teams

• Design and develop middleware routines to support system integration requirements

Skills and Experience

 

• 6+ years Perl programming experience

• Demonstrated experience designing and developing web based programs

• Demonstrated experience designing and developing systems management and messaging utilities

• Demonstrated experience working with relational databases – Sybase and/or Oracle experience preferred
