LVN Authorizations and Appeals  

Immediate opening for an LVN Authorizations and Appeals Specialist to support and assist a growing group of medical staff that will coordinate the preparation of the treatment authorization request including obtaining medical records, submission of initial TAR and filing any appeal(s) that may be necessary for Medi-Cal Claims. In addition this candidate will communicates TAR status to facilities as appropriate. Duties and Responsibilities of the departments staff include: Process medical record requests, Review medical record and complete initial Treatment Authorization Request as appropriate. Determine acceptance of all TAR , Follow-up on all outstanding TAR’s ,Prepare appeal(s) as necessary. Coordinate submission of all initial TAR and appeals to Medi-Cal field office ensuring deadlines are met. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for assigned facilities, Promote effective relationships and communications with other departments and clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a manager with a detailed knowledge of state funded programs.

Current LVN or Nursing License.Excellent written and oral communication skills, Attention to detail and accuracy, Strong customer service skills required.
General business office knowledge, Analytical ability a plus, Must be organized, Ability to work well under pressure.
