Job Description

Test Engineer Job

Electrical component TEST ENGINEER needed for an excellent Contract Assignment in Florence, SC. Need experience in testing medium and low voltage power circuit breakers, mechanical and electrical system testing, and technical writing skills. Assignment estimated to last 10 months starting January 2010.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement testing on mechanical/electrical equipment to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Conduct or coordinate complex analyses and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations
  • Advise management and customers regarding advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems
  • Support development of efforts to improve operations and client satisfaction
  • Testing of medium voltage circuit breakers

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Masters is a plus
  • Minimum 3-5+ years experience related to testing mechanical/electrical equipment, components, or systems
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Write Validation Test Plans
  • Quantitative Analysis experience
  • Experience testing medium (4.76kV) and low (600v) voltage circuit breakers
  • Experience with IEEE Std such as IEEE Std 323 and IEEE Std 344
  • Currently live a commutable distance to Florence, SC
