Yoh Talent Solutions has an opening for a Unix Systems Administrator in Melbourne, FL.

 

Description:

CMMI Level 3 organization is looking for a Unix Systems Administrator.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for Unix system engineering support, to include O/S installation, file system management, adding and configuring devices on a Sun platform, account management, and configuring and managing Unix server network services.
• Responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting Unix-based and third party COTS software.
• Monitors, evaluates and optimizes system performance, develops disaster recovery procedures, performs system backups, and implements system security policies across the CAMPS unclassified and classified enterprises
• Provide tier 1/2 level support as an UNIX system administrator; including troubleshooting within the enterprise, hardware problems, and resolving end-user work orders.
• Manage performance monitoring and system usage technologies.

• The successful candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field, and a minimum of 2 years experience, or a commensurate combination of education, training & experience.
• Candidate must have UNIX system administration experience
• General knowledge/understanding of Storage and Backup technologies (NetBackup & Networker) to include SAN/NAS implementations
• Experience and/or familiarity with Oracle database software a plus
• System administration support on Solaris (2.5.1 - 10) and Red Hat Linux (v4 & v5)
• Remedy experience a plus
• Hitachi and Brocade experience is a plus
