Why Lakeshore?

What is most frustrating about the staffing industry is that most “staffing” companies’ WORDS don’t match their VERBS. Put another way, the industry has a reputation for SAYING one thing and DOING something else.

You see, at the heart of the staffing industry there is a conflict of interest at play that causes this epidemic. One that is ignored and of which few are even aware. Imagine an attorney attempting to represent both a plaintiff and a defendant at the same time, or a sports agent negotiating a contract on behalf of both the Athlete and the Team. It wouldn’t work, would it? Of course not. So why would anyone expect it to work in the staffing industry?

How can a company equally and sincerely serve the needs of Candidates and Employers at the same time? Usually, they just end up serving themselves by chasing sales, closing deals and putting butts in seats as quickly as possible. As a result, today’s staffing world generally offers very little, if any, true value or satisfaction for Candidates or Employers. For most, we’re simply a “necessary evil,” just like a used car salesman. *Ouch!*

Lakeshore is taking a radical approach to serving Employers; by serving our Candidates and Team Members first. However, if you think about it, is it really that radical? How much time and money do companies today spend on 401k matching, health and wellness plans, a nice medical plan, team building activities and other benefits? A lot, right. Why do they do that?

Simple: happy, satisfied employees who feel valued and cared for lead to less turnover, a healthier working environment, and ultimately, significantly higher productivity.

If your company treated its employees like most of our competitors treat their temporary employees, would you want to work for them? No benefits, no PTO, hardly a “thank you” for your hard work… probably not. After all, people are essential to any company’s success. And successful companies understand that its Team Members are worth the investment!

At Lakeshore, we know the same is true for us. Although our industry doesn’t seem to care, we know our people are everything in our ability to serve Employers an Experience that leaves them saying, “I Love Lakeshore!” After all, it’s not our internal recruiting or sales staff who will end up doing any of the work for them; ourM Field Team does!
