(No third parties, please) ORACLE DBA LONG TERM CONTRACT Senior level Oracle DBA to manage database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance procedures in multiple production and development environments. Complete Description: Manage database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance and administration procedures in multiple production and development environments. Design and manage backup and recovery procedures. Manage database user and security administration . Handle advanced performance and application tuning for both OLTP and Data warehouse. Coordinate research, planning and implementation of databases and application patches and fixes. Plan, design, test and implement upgrades for the Databases. Facilitate root cause analysis on problems where appropriate, and identify action items/recommendations to address issues. Maintain documentation and coding standards, lessons learned, best practices, and quality improvement documentation. Work closely with the development staff on all issues related to the Oracle Databases . Responsible for 24*7 production support on a rotation basis for all Oracle databases. Technical skills must include hands-on experience with RAC, database backup and recovery, upgrades to 10g, implementation and maintenacne of 10g Grid Control.
