Research Engineer - Computer Science Summary As consumer electronic (CE) devices become ever more powerful, so do the platforms they are based on. The next generation of CE products will take advantage of the evolving multicore platforms. The Multicore Platform Technologies Group is developing the future of the multicore CE platform. The successful candidate will design and build critical components of CSL’s multicore platform research program. Requirements PhD in Computer Science with a minimum of 2 years experience (or MSc with 5+ years experience) Multiprocessor architecture (including multithreading, scheduling, load balancing, transactional memory, application workload estimation and modeling) Multiprocessor programming environments (including programming models, compilers, debuggers and programming tools) Multicore architecture, Multicore programming environments Advanced understanding of embedded systems development is desirable Experience with ARM cores would be an advantage Experience in either an academic or a corporate R&D environment Proven research track record including refereed journal or conference publications and patents Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment
