WUSA*9, the CBS affiliate in Washington DC, is looking for an Executive Producer of Information and Distribution who will: - Design, recruit and manage Information Center (Information Distribution Hub) for 9 News NOW - Supervise television, web, mobile and other information distribution platforms' coverage of local and national news, weather and sports - Supervise training of all newsroom personnel on functional techniques for use of various distribution platforms - Strategize and execute market ownership of the Big Story daily. - Schedule and assign reporters, Information Center Specialists, Production Assistants and vacation relief employees to cover shifts and general responsibilities for the gathering and distribution of news and information - Plan and execute special coverage plans for a wide variety of events and stories - Contribute and supervise special story coverage for ratings performance - Coordinate with promotion and sales for maximization of news content advertisement inside and outside market - Coordinate exterior distribution of 9 News NOW information with partner associated websites, mobile services and digital services including television - Coordinate and cooperate with all news partners at CBS, CNN, and other Gannett properties and any other TV or web sites. - Advise, consult and support News Director, News management and station management.

Our ideal candidate will be a “Change Leader” in our news room designing and executing our transition from a TV-centric newsroom to a digital information gathering and distribution center (Information Center). Significant experience managing web sites is highly desirable. Significant TV production and big story coverage ability required. 9 News NOW needs a coverage leader who can win the big one every day Monday through Sunday on TV, the web, mobile phones and any other form of digital distribution. Our applicant will be expected to administer all parts of system operations and coverage operations including the scheduling of newsroom personnel. This job requires a unique combination of creativity, system design, TV news show production and execution to produce award and ratings winning coverage on TV, the web, mobile service and any other digital delivery system we may employ.
