Job Details Position: Developer Location: Lansing, MI Duration: 10 to 12 Months Hours: 8:00-5:00pm Number of Positions: 1 Phone interview: Yes Rate: 60-65/hour DOE Position Description Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May have responsibility for a project and project budget. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience. Planning, development testing, and documentation of computer programs on BASE24 HP/Tandem computer system. Coordinate and implement change control procedures for assigned Initiatives projects. Project Management for assigned projects. Role could include the management of project tasks and resources. Perform analysis and design for new programs and modifications to existing programs to determine cost and time required compatibility with current systems, impact to existing structure, and to develop the steps necessary to complete assigned projects. Coding and development of computer programs, Tal programs will comprise the majority of the system to be analyzed. Skills Experience with HP/Tandem/BASE24 POS systems including TAL development, certification and testing skills C++ experience would be a plus. Java experience would be a plus.
