Position Title: Systems Quality Assurance/CM Analyst Job Type: 6 months Contract Location: Bethesda, MD Position Type: Temp. To Hire Salary: $90K - $95K /yearly on W2 DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Provide QA and CM processing for all deliverable and internal documents, and participate in peer reviews and inspections of system documentation to ensure that the requirements and change requests were interpreted and implemented correctly.  Provide QA and CM guidance for the projects/systems and work directly with IT project managers and contractors toward continued process improvement and work reviews.  Work with the Systems Assurance manager and Project Manager to document and verify the project/system vision and the projects scope.  Manage changes to baseline scope through effective application of change control processes and tools.  Develop and conduct project level audits using customer's methodology, with the capability to report metrics to management on earned value process audit data.  Facilitate and coordinate technical reviews for software testing and releases in accordance with System Lifecycle Management (SLM) requirements.  Coordinate CM on software builds prior to release into production, including peer reviews of documentation, process audits, and implementation planning.  Ensure that artifacts are complete, accurate, and that they conform to standards.  Track and report on weekly and monthly metrics for SA reporting of projects/systems in Project Profile database. REQUIRED SKILLS:  6-9 years of experience with Bachelors Degree  An understanding of contemporary quality assurance and configuration management practices, including analysis, specifications, verification, and management processes, and the ability to apply them to systems (including familiarity with quality assurance and configuration management tools and resources).  An understanding of how to implement and verify quality assurance and configuration management practices according to industry best practices, including adherence to several software development methodologies, such as PMBOK, ITIL, and CMMI.  Interviewing skills to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential project/system information.  Analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements  Communication skills to interact with staff and identify project/system requirements, and report status and issues to management.  Observational skills to monitor project/systems, review and validate processes and artifacts, and objectively report on the current and future status of the item under review.  Writing skills to communicate information effectively to customers, marketing, managers, and technical staff.  Organizational skills to work with the vast array of information gathered on projects/systems and to cope with rapidly changing information.  Interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering). DESIRED SKILLS:  Application domain knowledge to have credibility with project managers and staff, and be able to work effectively with them.  Previous system development experience would be a plus.
