Cognos Enterprise Planning (EP) Developer Location: CA-Pleasanton Duration: 12 months contract Must Have Experience with Cognos Enterprise Planning (EP). Experience with Cognos BI solutions Strong Experience in Cognos 8.x Duties: Gathering and analyzing business requirements Participating in determining standards and best practices Partnering with an implementation team Experience in full life-cycle of project development including Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Rollout, Implementation, and Training Ability to foster client relationships. Qualifications: Experience/ Understanding of the Planning, Budgeting and Forecast cycle within a corporate environment. Ability to develop complex models that integrate financial information within all levels and departments of a corporate structure. Understanding the financial data flow Ability to facilitate best practices regarding appropriate use for budgeting techniques such as bottoms up budgeting vs. top down. Ability and experience to promote and justify process change in order to maximize software strengthsKnowledge. Apply Standard Methodologies by learning and embracing the standard methodologies. Utilize the automated toolset to apply methodology to each and every engagement. Good to have: Cognos Enterprise Planning product certification a strong plus. Experience with Cognos Controller or Cognos Finance a plus Cognos Business Intelligence tool experience a plus. * Local Candidates are Preferred, Rate: $65-$75(w2) depending on experience
