Foster parents must care about children and enjoy helping them develop, mature, and in some cases learn independence. Provide a warm, loving, and supportive home environment. Must be good role models, have the ability to nurture and accept a child even when his or her behavior is challenging. Foster parents must be flexible and tolerant.
