We currently have an opening for a Registered Respiratory Therapist FULL-TIME Nights PRN - Varied shifts.

As our newest Respiratory Therapist, you would:

1. Perform technical procedures and operates equipment with high level of expertise. Maintain knowledge of infrequently used equipment and ordered patient therapeutics.
2. Demonstrate decision-making skills in patient assessment and care plan design based on desired outcomes of therapy, clinical data, consultation with physicians and progress of patient.
3. Assess patient and families knowledge deficit regarding Cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology, therapeutic procedures, smoking cessation.
4. Adhere to department administrative procedures of error free patient charge entry, timely and concise shift report and accurate documentation. Updates all department patient records. Follows all procedures for utilizing M.A.R. on nursing units.
5. Demonstrate activities consistent with financial objectives of department in use of disposable supplies and equipment change out. Offers suggestions for efficient use of all resources in department.
6. Assume and perform charge therapist duties when assigned according to departmental policies. Reports all relative patient care and equipment issues to charge therapist. Requests assistance from charge therapist when appropriate.
7. Assist in writing procedures, gives inservices recognized as necessary by individual.
8. Maintain knowledge of infrequently used equipment and ordered patient therapeutics.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited program in respiratory therapy and two (2) years of general acute care hospital experiece is required. **Licensed by Texas Department of Health, registered by NBRC, BCLS and ACLS by American Heart Association is required.**

Preferred: Associate's degree
