A Richmond, Virginia headquartered manufacturing company with over 100 years of experience developing, designing, manufacturing, and marketing consumer products.  This organization has one of the world’s largest and most modern manufacturing facilities located in Richmond.  Focused on business, growth strategy, and innovation this organization is positioned to continue to be their industry leader in consumer products.

 

Median Pay: $40. - $55. hourly

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Systems Analysis to gather requirements and develop new systems requirements and technical specifications. 
  • Working with business customers and across all levels of the organziation to include Quality Assurance, Business Analyst, Project Managers, and Developers. 
  • Interfacing with the development team on all new functionality and enhancement projects.
  • Reponsibility for planning, conducting and directing analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Interacting with business unit customers to facilitate identification of process imporvements, system design, testing, and implementation of complex solutions. 
  • May develop systems test plan components and test scripts.
  • Act as an internal consultant with technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-define technical processes for efficiency.
  • Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow and determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system.
  • May interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.
  • May train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.

Qualifications:

  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Related Skills — Experience analyzing complex sytems.  Business Process Modeling.  Experience writing Use Cases and Design Documentation.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio.  Experience leading meetings and gathering requirements with all levels of the business and technical community.  Experience depicting systems, data, or process flows using diagrams.  Strong relationship building and communications skills. 
  • Mathematics — Strong knowledge of mathematical applications; preferably calculus or statistics.
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Education
    • Experience: 4-8 years in Systems Analyst role
    • Education: Bachelor of Science degree
  • Location — Living or willing to live within the Richmond, VA.  area
