SQL APPLICATION DEVELOPER SUMMARY A provider of online investing tools for the long-term investor as part of online bank, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced SQL Application Developer. Job Summary: This individual will be responsible for creating stored procedures and advanced SQL queries in Transact-SQL. The ideal candidate should have experience in database development and data modeling in Sybase ASE OR experience with Java. Essential Functions: Build or modify database objects using Sybase ASE or expertise with Java Author technical analysis and technical design documentation Work with a Project Team to produce quality deliverables Support QA by participating in test plan reviews, attending triage meetings and providing bug fixes Provide system support as necessary Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Sponsors to ensure business requirements and functional specifications are complete and consistent. Handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress.

Experience & Qualifications: Strong experience writing stored procedures, triggers and SQL queries using Sybase Transact-SQL 12.5.x or T-SQL and Java experience Strong working knowledge of data modeling and schema design Experience in Java or C# application development desirable Working knowledge of OO design and common design patterns desirable Experience with recognized industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques Strong communication and organizational skills Financial / Brokerage institution experience a plus Ability to write clear and effective Design documentation Proven track record of delivering quality deliverables Experience with recognized industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques Strong communication and organizational skills Financial / Brokerage Institution experience is a plus
