Performs administrative activities required to support a Unix platform in a production trading environment Provide system administration, operational support, problem resolution, and perform hardware and software installations and upgrades Monitors system performance and capacity Forecasts system demands, recommends upgrades, expansion and reconfiguration Troubleshoots problems and takes appropriate corrective action and or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functions Documents standards and operating procedures for the system(s) and acts as a technical resource to IT staff and system users Manages projects and work related tasks Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Must be flexible for 24/7 environment (on call)

7+ years exp. administering, monitoring and managing UNIX, and Solaris, HP-UX AIX or Linux (SuSe & RedHat) 7+ years experience installing Jumpstart and Kickstart servers 7+ years experience with Perl or Shell script 5+ years experience VERITAS Cluster Builds (VCS) & VERITAS Foundation Suite Troubleshooting, Load Balancing and resource allocation Experience working in a Production Environment
