Engineering Technician

Supports engineering services with automated manufacturing systems.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES:

Support installation, testing and qualification of new equipment and equipment projects

Provide on-site support at equipment suppliers' sites during machine build, debug, testing and qualification.

Established as an SME in assigned work area(s)

Performs complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks.

Analyzes engineering test results and implements changes to resolve problems.

Collects data, analyzes results and implements procedures.

Document equipment issues and propose robust solutions

Development of preventative and predictive maintenance procedures

Use of advanced problem-solving techniques to address issues with machines and processes

Advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and controls systems

Support creation of engineering documentation required to implement changes and improvements

Excellent verbal and written skills

Support the training and development of other technicians

Support validation activities for new equipment and equipment updates

May direct other employees, functioning as a working supervisor with large scope of responsibility.

Provide ongoing manufacturing support

Drive activities to improve OEE of equipment

Participate in engineering activities as required by engineering/project team

REQUIRED (MUST-HAVE) QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Engineering, Mechatronics training or equivalent experience.

Experience in a technology-based industry, where automated assembly techniques are utilized.

Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - robotics, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, Pick-Place-Pack, Inspection/Test

Minimum 10 years' experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex manufacturing equipment.

Minimum 2 years' experience working with manufacturing of medical devices
