Network Engineer Sr with Security Clearance

As a Senior Network Engineer at our organization, you will lead critical network initiatives and support secure and robust network architecture for our government clients. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of network infrastructures and the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality network solutions that meet stringent security requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
Monitor network performance and integrity, and resolve issues as they arise
Maintain complete technical documentation and system architecture records
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
Lead projects, including budgeting and resource allocation
Mentor team members and lead collaborative initiatives
Ensure security of network infrastructure by setting up firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
Conduct regular system audits
Stay current with advancements in technology and propose upgrades and new systems to improve reliability and efficiency
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
At least 7 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
Deep understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)
Solid background in network administration and architecture
In-depth knowledge of coding languages (e.g., Python, Perl)
Strong understanding of network security practices and hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to focus under pressure
Superior teamwork and communication skills, with proven leadership experience
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required Preferred Additional Skills: Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDP)
Experience in a government or military environment
Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
