This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced Engineering Process Improvement and Automation Initiative with DCS Corp's Army Ground Combat Software Engineering Team located in Warren, MI.
As a Process Engineering and Tools Specialist, you will help establish, streamline, deploy, and monitor the execution of software processes and related technologies used to field the latest technological system advancements for vehicle electronics that reside in military combat ground vehicles.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop organizational engineering processes and associated tools that improve efficiency, consistency and repeatability of engineering practices.
Plan, implement and review engineering processes ensuring consistency and compliance with military standards and other best practices (CMMI, ISO, IEEE).
Pro-actively coordinate and work with Engineering Project Leads to assist in project execution and identify corrective actions with project stakeholder to ensure project execution is leading towards the delivery of quality engineering products.
Collect and report project and process measurements to assist Engineering Project Managers to make data-backed decisions regarding project execution.
Assist in the creation and deployment of process and tools training.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering plus 12 years experience.
Experience in leading or actively participating in Process Improvement Initiatives such as problem solving, quality exercises, or process focused activities.
Experience with Software Development processes and best practices, including support functions such as Verification, Configuration Management (CM), and Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA).
Experience with defect tracking, risk management, earned value management and requirements management.
Experience in developing plans, schedules, scope and budget.
Experience with Agile Development Lifecycle.
Fluent with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiar with carrying out objective and measurable technical trade studies.
Desired Skills:
Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
Microsoft Project, Visio and Access.
Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint.
Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
Familiarity with DevSecOps and Continuous Integration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation (PSA) (specifically implementation of customizations).
MagicDraw Cameo Business Modeler.
Familiarity with Velocity Scripting.
Familiarity with Web Development (PHP, JS, HTML, CSS).
