Test Engineering Lead Location: Ft. Meade, MD

Remote Work: 50% Job Description: GridIron IT is seeking a Test Engineering Lead with an Active Secret Clearance. Responsibilities:
Oversee a team of Test Engineers, ensuring their tasks are aligned with project goals and deadlines.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Ensure efficient test execution, documentation of results, and timely resolution of defects.
Collaborate with engineers to identify and address issues prior to delivery of test plans to third-party testers.
Promote the use of test automation tools and techniques to improve efficiency and coverage.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Interact with customers, users, product developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate progress, and address concerns.
Represent the test team in project meetings and decision-making processes.
Ensure that the team adheres to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing process.
Conduct code reviews and audits to identify potential defects. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Experience with effectively detecting, tracking, reporting, and communicating test defects.
Experience with the life cycle of software in military simulation systems.
Familiar with agile development methodologies and test-driven development.
Expertise in the Atlassian tool suite, to include JIRA and Confluence
Current IAT Level II or higher Certification such as Security + or CISSP
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Certifications:
Current IAT Level II or higher Certification (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
Relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB) preferred. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
Familiarity with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing.
Experience with cloud-based environments and infrastructure. Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: 110,000-140,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
