Medline Industries, LP in Northfield, IL is seeking Sr. Solutions Architect(s) to collaborate on enterprise platforms, application modernization, systems integration and Citizen IT enablement supporting the Sales and Marketing business portfolio. Additionally, the individual(s) will also provide technical leadership and manage the overall solution design for systems enabling teams to optimize their use of technology to create business value and operate more efficiently.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

Understand business drivers and capabilities (current and future state), determine corresponding enterprise system designs, and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.

Create detailed design specifications to document architecture decisions and recommendations.

Communicate the architectural specifications to designers, developers, contractors, and business.

Sponsor in a directly actionable, clear, and unambiguous manner.

Identify the scalability, resiliency, quality, supportability, speed of implementation and total cost of ownership of the solutions being implemented.

Act as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings while maintaining alignment with the overall Enterprise Architecture and Governance practice.

Facilitate architecture design reviews to ensure solution designs meet functional and non-functional requirements, such as security, compliance, system scalability and reliability.

Define principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns, and ensures their adoption and use.

Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to review and assess new technologies to ensure compliance with Medline standards.

Work closely with IT leaders and application owners to maintain current application and technical inventories and future roadmaps.

Develop an expertise in business processes and employed technologies.

Obtain a broad knowledge of the existing application and service landscape.

Stay up to date about emerging healthcare industry technology trends, including research and assessment of new and/or alternate technologies that align with business goals and provide

competitive advantages.

Partner with vendor and development teams to ensure build activities adhere to agreed service and technical architectures.

Consistently maintain a professional demeanor and take proactive measures to manage and mitigate risks within the portfolio.

This position has no direct reports and does not supervise any other employees.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least

five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) through which the required experience was gained. Employer will accept a foreign degree.

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:

1. Demonstrated experience with multiple IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development,

middleware, database management or cloud development.

2. Demonstrated knowledge of PHI, PII, and compliance requirements under HIPAA.

3. Full lifecycle knowledge in one or more of the following functional domains:

- Sales Operations: Order Management, Revenue Management, CRM, Pricing, Quoting, Compensation, Rebates, Customer Service

- Sales Innovation: Acute and Post-Acute Care, Retail

- Marketing: Product/Business Line Campaign Management, Corporate Communications.

4. Demonstrated experience with Large-scale enterprise platform rationalization, modernization, and transformation.

5. Demonstrated knowledge of integration methodologies including ETL, EDI, asynchronous messaging, service-based integration, and file transfer patterns.

6. Demonstrated experience with back-office platforms/ERPs, facilitating extensive cross-functional collaboration and system integration.

7. Implementing Web Service Integration (REST v2, SOAP), APIs, course grained and micro services.

8. Demonstrated knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring & Management tools.

9. Demonstrated experience with application delivery teams including DevOps, Unit testing, (CI/CD), Security testing, Performance testing and Load testing.

10. Demonstrated experience working with multi-site global teams and Agile/SCRUM delivery.

No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available as part of a hybrid work schedule
