Job title: Control Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On-site)

Job Description:
  • Controls engineer/manager will be responsible for supporting the global planning, execution and programs coordination of the Controls and SW platform solution for Transmissions. Key Responsibilities
  • Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to the vehicle/programs.
  • Representing the Controls System (Controllers and SW) vs the Propulsion System Community as primary interface.
  • Coordinating Controls Features development.
  • Defining Feature Roll-out Plan (What and When) that aligns to over all program milestones and objectives.
  • Playing a key role in the Controls & SW change Management, Quality assessment and Risk mitigation. •Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Ensure rigorous validation of control functions to meet and exceed specified requirements throughout the vehicle development cycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other engineering units to drive the development of cutting-edge controls technology.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in controlling engineering processes, methodologies, and technologies. Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • As need to work on Complex Systems, it is essential the successful candidate can show a proven record of working on his/her own initiative and within a team delivering high quality and robust technical solutions
  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive)
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Previous experience as Controls/SW developer using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, Embedded C, testing or calibration engineer will be considered a plus
  • Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly. •Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
