Computer Hardware Engineer

Purpose of Job
Provide technical support to Design & Test Department in the Area of Testing. This would include Analysis of Testing Specifications from Design Documentation and Developing Tests to ensure product meets Quality Requirements.
Major Duties/Responsibilities
Top duties or activities with the approximate percentage of time spent on each duty in a given year. Not all tasks/steps performed are listed.
- Ability to comprehend US Department of Transportation regulations on Vehicle Displays.
- Ability to Validate Hardware used to Test Product.
- Ability to Write VB in order to control Vision Test.
- Ability to Develop Testing suitable for Mass Production Environment.
- Experience with MS SQL, Querying Databases, as well as Connecting & Calling Stored Procedures through VB.Net or C#.
- Set up Automated Tests for New Model.
- Investigate & Develop New Methods for Testing (R&D).
- Adjust existing Tests to accept allowable Product Variation, while still maintaining the same high level of Detection Capability.
- Set up Tests in reaction to Internal or External Rejects and or Escapes.
- Make Changes to SQL Server Database Based on New Testing or Reporting Requirements.
- Implement Design Changes as required.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.Education
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Graphics
Related Experience
3 years of progressive Vision System-related experience in similar manufacturing industry.(It does not apply in the case of new graduates.)
5 years of progressive Vision System-related experience in similar manufacturing industry.Benefits
