We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain in-house software solutions to streamline and optimize cannabis cultivation and processing operations. This role will focus on integrating software development with equipment management to ensure seamless automation, accurate data tracking, and enhanced efficiency across our cultivation and processing workflows.

Job Details
What you will be doing:
Design and develop customized software applications for managing cultivation, harvesting, and processing operations.
Create user-friendly dashboards for tracking equipment performance, inventory, and production metrics.
Ensure the software integrates seamlessly with existing systems and equipment.
Develop and maintain control systems for cultivation and processing equipment.
Collaborate with equipment manufacturers to integrate hardware with in-house software solutions.
Troubleshoot and optimize equipment automation for seamless operations.
Implement data collection and storage protocols for tracking performance metrics.
Develop tools for analyzing cultivation and processing data to drive decision-making.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data security standards.
Work closely with cultivation, processing, and compliance teams to understand operational needs.
Provide training and support for staff on newly developed software and equipment systems.
Collaborate with IT and external vendors as necessary.
Must have skills:
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in an industrial or agricultural setting.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Experience with PLCs, IoT devices, or equipment automation systems.
Strong understanding of database management (SQL, NoSQL).
PLUSES:
Knowledge of cannabis cultivation processes or agricultural systems is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software.
Experience with API integration and cloud-based technologies.
Understanding of compliance requirements in cannabis or regulated industries.
