Purpose of Job

The Business Quality Systems Specialist is responsible for a range of quality management system and business process documentation and improvement activities for NS International and other North American facilities as applicable. Activities include, analyzing existing processes and their associated risks and working with teams to review, revise and develop procedures, process flow charts, etc. to address issues while assuring compliance to the ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 Standards. Activities also include working with teams to review, revise and develop business process flow diagrams based on organizational needs and ensures compliance to JSOX requirements. The Business Quality Systems Specialist will also participate in both the internal quality management system and JSOX audit processes as well as support external quality management system and JSOX audit processes.

Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible to perform NSI Quality Management System activities and improvements; including development of NSI procedures and continual improvement activities in-line with the NS Global Quality System; NSNA Quality System; ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949:2016 requirements; and all applicable Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Ensures effective implementation of the NSI QMS; NSNA QMS; the NS Global QMS; ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949:2016 requirements; and all applicable Customer Specific Requirements as part of the audit team in the internal QMS audit process.
  • Supports scheduling and facilitation of external IATF 16949:2016 audits at NSI.
  • Supports the process to build business process flow diagrams that are JSOX compliant in terms of risk identification and mitigation for both NSI and NSOH.
  • Supports JSOX walk-throughs and assessments/audits on all documented businesses for both NSI and NSOH and ensures alignment with headquarters’ assessment scope and timing. This activity also includes gathering data/evidence of properly implemented company, financial and IT controls.
  • Follows up on internal / external audit nonconformance to ensure on time closure and effectiveness of the root causes and corrective actions for both QMS and JSOX audits.
  • Monitors customer, IATF, AIAG, and customer websites to ensure all customer specific requirements; are fully implemented within the quality management system.
  • Supports NSNA Business Plan initiatives and audits as needed.
  • Supports Onboarding process distributing documentation to the new employees

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.Education

Bachelor’s degree is requiredRelated Experience

  • 2 - 5 years’ work experience in quality management systems; preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Audit experience, preferably within the following automotive standards: ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949:2016, and/or OEM Customer Specific Requirements, etc…
  • Experience in writing quality management system Procedures and WI’s and creating process flows required.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
  • Financial analysis work experience is preferred
  • Experience using ERP systems preferred

Additional Information
Work HoursMonday-Friday, 8 am – 5pm. Off-hours as needed.Travel Requirements

20% international and/or domestic.

If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers’ license is required.
