Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst (BI/ Reporting Apps)
Job Summary
Responsible for collaborating with business partners and identifying business problems. Recommend solutions with new or existing processes, applications, systems, programs, or software. Will manage and drive multiple primary assignments and handle complex issues/requests. Will act as the primary contact as a business relationship manager that will become a subject matter expert in operations data for Safety, People, Quality, Service, or Cost.Job Description
Job Duties: Medline Industries, LP in Northfield, IL is seeking experienced Sr. IS Systems Analyst(s) (BI Reporting/Apps) to perform systems management and integration functions along with improving existing computer systems and reviewing computer system capabilities.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
Configure and maintain Tableau Server Software.
Configure and maintain Power BI platform in cloud.
System Administration (includes sites, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).
Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.
Manage Tableau environment in cloud hosted VMs.
Define and implement content management strategy.
Performance tuning / Server management of tableau server environment (clustering, Load balancing).
Experience configuring Single Sign-on (SSO) with SAML authentication, Embedding dashboards & Trusted Authentication.
Manage and support migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards), from development to production environments.
Develop and document standards/best practices for the development and administration of the Tableau and Power BI platforms.
Work closely with technical architects, and data and software engineers to ensure optimal application and data database/warehouse design to support reporting requirements.
Configure and maintain Active Directory integration with Tableau Server.
Configure and troubleshoot Single Sign On (SSO) issues for Tableau Server.
Configure and maintain Active Directory integration with Azure AD for Power BI.
This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Computer or Software Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:
1. Tableau software, including Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor, and Tableau Metadata tables.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of Tableau architecture and administration, including Tableau administrator.
3. Developing in, configuring, and administering Tableau Server, including Tableau embedding.
4. Migrating and maintaining Tableau environment to cloud hosted VM’s.
5. Power BI administration.
6. Azure Cloud.
7. Content management strategy and automation.
8. Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer, and Network firewall.
9. Tableau and Power BI platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery.
10. Demonstrated ability to analyze medium to large, complex, or vague Business or Technical problems and translate analysis into viable solution recommendations.
No travel required. Hybrid work environment with work from home (WFH) benefit available; must be able to come in to the Northfield office for meetings when required
