Systems and Support Engineer (Las Vegas)
Due to our increasing success and growth, we are growing our team of enthusiastic experts, and we are recruiting for a Systems and Support Engineer to join our team in Las Vegas.
Reporting to Systems Manager, and working from the Las Vegas Sphere, the successful candidate will:
Sphere Support
You will be based within the Sphere in Las Vegas, and a key part of this role is to ensure the up-time of all 7thSense products and associated equipment on site. This includes being on hand to troubleshoot issues as they arise, as well as reproducing issues on test rigs “post-show”, and liaising with the software Development team to install software updates as and when needed.
Support Our Customers
Beyond the Sphere, you will be responsible for offering Support to our customers around the globe. This includes managing support tickets, remoting into customers’ systems to resolve issues, and offering advice on the functionality of our products where needed. On occasion there will also be a requirement for you to travel to customer sites, both domestically and internationally, to perform commissioning and support services.
Know Our Products
You will need a fundamental understanding of our products, and how they sit in wider installations. You will be very hands on with our hardware, identifying faulty parts and replacing them where needed, and being able to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues from fault finding through to resolution.
Once settled into the role, you will become a Product Champion, demonstrating how our products work for customers, liaising with the Software Development team on future features, testing/troubleshooting new software builds as they are released. The role also includes the scope to create and deliver training content where necessary for the right candidate.
Technical Lead on Projects
As the majority of 7thSense projects are bespoke systems, it is critical that each one is reviewed and signed off in a technical capacity. From quotation creation through post-installation commissioning, it is the responsibility of the Systems and Support Engineers to ensure everything is technically correct and will meet the customers’ requirements and expectations.
Mandatory Technical Skills, Experience and Requirements | The ‘Must-Have’s
Candidates must have demonstrable experience of working in all the following areas:
>> Solid grasp of Microsoft Windows, third-party applications, hardware, drivers, registry tweaking, and network configuration .
>> Hands on experience building and/or repairing computer hardware.
>> Basic understanding of audio-visual and control systems flow, media production workflows, and digital media formats
>> Proven history of resourcefulness, dedication, and decision-making under pressure of high-profile projects
>> Methodical approach to system testing and documenting procedures .
>> Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
>> Detail - oriented and able to multitask .
>> Ability to travel internationally.
>> Enthusiasm and willingness to develop new skills.
>> Flexibility to work shift patterns.
>> Comfortability and professionalism in front of customers at all levels of an organisation.
Additional Useful Skills | The ‘Helpful to Haves’
>> Knowledge of show control programming, with hands on experience with either Medialon , Alcorn McBride, Crestron or Q-SYS systems.
>> CompTIA A+, CCNA, Avixa CTS-I and/or ANP, Dante VSC, and/or AVoIP experience.
>> Experience with high bandwidth (10/25/40/100GbE) network technolog y
>> Driving l icence

Work Schedule:
>> Shift basis, including weekdays and weekends (Monday to Sunday)
Vegas Shifts:
>> Day Shifts: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
>> Evening Shifts: 3:00 pm to 12:00 am
