Senior Software Test Engineer, DPSS Windows products

The Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) is seeking a motivated senior / lead test engineer for native applications on the Windows platform.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop test plans, conduct test readiness reviews (TRRs), technical review boards (TRB), and report test results.

Schedule developmental test events, developmental test execution, and operational tests.

Work closely with the development team, systems engineers and subject matter experts to review and provide input to software test requirements.

Develop individual requirement test methods and requirement validation statements.

Integrate customer test concerns into executable tests.

Perform and manage manual functional/UI tests on native platform applications.

Develop test cases based on written requirements and existent application functionality.

Find, document and track bugs and defects in Jira.

Prepare, plan for and lead execution of test plans at formal test events.

Prepare and maintain test documents related to test events, and product releases.

Develop, code and maintain automated test cases for native applications on Windows.

Work closely with the development team, systems engineers and subject matter experts to develop and execute test procedures.

Analyze and improve current test processes.

Work with stake holders and technical writers to document and describe current defects and software readiness.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Must be able to work onsite - This position is not remote work eligible.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Minimum 2 years experience as a test engineer.

Experience in working with applications on the Windows platform.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Superb written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams.

Must have excellent work ethic, time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

Experience with geo-spatial, geo information systems.

Experience in leading, training test team members.

Experience with DoD command and control systems or tactical data systems.

Experience in developing and debugging applications on either native Windows platform.

Experience with National Geo-Spatial Agency (NGA) products and imagery.

Proficiency with at least two programming languages such as C#, Java, Python or C++.
