Job Summary:
Entry-level IT professional. Provides support to users and clients. Supports the maintenance and operation of the enterprise IT infrastructure.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree or other pertinent curriculum with relevant technical experience.
- Typically, 0-3 years of industry experience.
- Additional preferred qualifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+ certification
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 response and support.
- Support users.
- Support laptops, software, hardware and network connectivity.
- Testing, configuring and troubleshooting of hardware, software and networking systems.
- Provide technical assistance on projects.
- Maintain office equipment.
Customer Service:
- Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers.
- Follow customer specific site standards and procedures.
- Always conduct business in a professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer care and support.
- Be patient, attentive, and responsive to customers in solving their problems.
- Always follow up and honor commitments with customers.
- Develops an understanding of the customer's needs and actively seeks to service those needs.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately, and on schedule.
- Understand the scope of assigned work.
- Escalate issues to the next tier of support or management in a timely fashion.
- Provide onsite IT support to customer systems
Project Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
- Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead.
- Provides accurate feedback on status of assigned tasks
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 support issues.
- Proficient with hand tools, screwdrivers and network cable cutting and testing tools.
- Assemble server racks and install equipment.
- Install and configure operating systems.
- Configure user laptops and workstations.
- Basic knowledge of Python language.
Travel Required:
- Overnight travel as required. Up to 25%.
On Call:
- As required.
Work Authorization/Other Requirements:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Fit for Duty at all times.
