The Advanced Development - Software Engineer is responsible for identifying gaps in current and future technology strategies and to recommend and develop technologies to improve future competitiveness. This role will develop technologies by creating specifications, performing analysis, testing and developing “proof of concept” prototype samples. This is a hands-on role requiring both independent and team-based tasks. The selected individual must be customer and delivery focused and have a diverse set of technical skills. The scope of this position is wide, and the work will vary from concept analysis to fabrication of engineering prototypes.Major Duties/Responsibilities

•Develop prototypes and demos of graphic systems for automotive products utilizing software including, but not limited to embedded Linux, Integrity OS and Qt. 2.15%
•Gather system requirements from customers related to graphics, network and security, and create system architecture for each project.
•Lead technology discussions with customer and prepare demonstrations of new technology for customers to consider for upcoming programs. 3.5%
•Gather future roadmaps and trends of Graphic SoC, HMI tools, In-Vehicle Networks, Operating Systems, Head- Up Display designs and evaluate latest products. 4.5%
•Identify design issues which occur during normal product development and proposes solutions to appropriate engineering disciplines 5.5%
•Investigate improvements in the design or engineering capability of existing products and tools. 6. 5%
•Collaborate with internal and external teams to solicit cooperation and jointly develop new technologies.
•Establish, maintain, and strengthen industry relationships via applicable training and industry outreach. Education, Experience and Knowledge
Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering with 3-5 years of experience, or 0-2 years of experience and a Masters Degree in computer science or engineering with satisfactory completion of coursework in Embedded Programming, Embedded Controls and/or Embedded System Design.
•Knowledge of embedded OS such as embedded Linux and INTEGRITY and Uboot required.
•Working knowledge of automotive network architectures such as CAN, MOST, LIN, Ethernet required.
•Ability to develop demo system including Graphics and Microcontrollers required.
•In-depth knowledge of Graphics SoC, HMI tools and embedded OS programming required.
•Knowledge of HMI tools/Graphics such as Altia and OpenGL preferred.
•Proficiency in MATLAB and 3D math viewing software preferred.

Up to 5% international and/or domestic.
