Position: Analytics / ETL Tester
Duration: Contract to Hire
Job Duties: The Analytics / ETL Tester will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of client's analytics platform. The tester will work closely with an Enterprise Architect, Data Engineers, Data Visualization Engineers and Business Users to develop testing scenarios based on stakeholder requirements. Additionally, the analyst will work with users to scrutinize existing dashboards, data flows, etc. in search for bugs and potential areas of improvement. A big area of focus will be enhancing automation efforts throughout the Analytics testing platform.
What you'll be responsible for:
Manages quality assurance projects to ensure data, analytics are tested and validated based on customer needs and requirements.
Leads testing efforts including planning, scheduling, and communication of test activities throughout the test life cycle.
Develop test estimates, test plans and test cases based on thorough research and analysis of test requirements.
Support, communicate and enforce Testing & Validation operational procedures.
Serve as a resource to other team members with regards to testing processes, standards, and procedures.
Recommend improvements to testing processes and build on existing best practices.
Assists analytics team with debug/analysis of platform.
Reviews software technical design documents and detailed business requirement documents to identify testing shortfalls.
Establishes, maintains, and implements software verifications and validation procedures, work instructions and quality related documentation.
Communicates and works with vendors and clients to facilitate various testing efforts.

As our client builds out their Analytics Innovation group, they are in need of a Quality Assurance resource to support the analytics team & platform and to introduce & enhance automation efforts.
Minimum of 5+ years testing experience
Experience with Analytics QA processes
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
Experience with test design, creation, execution, and reporting of manual test cases
Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross functional team
Strong analytical/problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail and communication
Ability to exercise independent judgement, multi-task, and effectively prioritize tasks
(Preferred Technical Experience):
Hands-on experience with data analytics tools, Oracle SQL and Informatica.
Experience with automated testing and direct hands-on experience with automated testing tools required, prefer experience with Selenium. Open to other automation tools or other ways of introducing automation if it proves to be a better solution.
(Education Required) - Bachelor's degree in computer science field or equivalent experience.
(Certification Required) - None Required.
